Tired of shaving, waxing or plucking?

Laser/IPL hair removal uses bursts of light to destroy hair follicles. Treatments are scheduled at 3-10 week intervals to target actively growing hairs (1/3 of all hairs). Two weeks after the treatment, the destroyed follicle expels the hair. A minimum of 5-8 treatment sessions are needed or 2-3 treatment sessions with a touch-up every 6-9 months.

Better results are achieved in patients with dark hairs and light skin. Blond, gray and white hairs do not respond to treatment. Darker skinned individuals may have laser hair reduction; however, more treatment sessions might be necessary. Since the laser targets pigment, lower energies must be used to avoid injury to the skin.
